Welcome to my website, Homes4SpecialFamilies. Caring for a special needs child or adult is exhausting, time consuming and expensive. It can be particularly stressful and anxiety ridden when a move is needed. At that time, you need a real estate agent who has been where you are and had similar concerns. Moving is difficult for typically developing children and can be detrimental for special needs children, particularly those with neurological disorders like autism or Asperger's Syndrome. Consistency and routine are so very important for these children and moving brings with it a whole set of issues and behaviors. Not only do I have the knowledge base, perseverance and commitment to making your dream of home ownership a reality. I am an excellent source of information for disability related resources both on line and person to person.
I am a seasoned parent and I have a wealth of tips and information on a variety of issues including making your child's transition into his/her new home as smooth as possible, how to go about choosing a contractor for updates you might need, down payment assistance programs or even how to child proof your new home.
I am mother of a very active and very bright son with autism. I have also been blessed to have been welcomed into the neighborhood of Seven Oaks on Kent ’s East Hill and have come to count on many of my neighbors for my son’s continued safety. This did not happen overnight nor by accident. It was a conscious plan that I followed from the time we chose the home we now live in. I can share that experience with you for your benefit and your child’s safety.
Finally, I am a member of a much larger community of parents, therapists, educators and caregivers through the internet covering a myriad of services and information. Be sure to check out my links page for more info like the Kent School District web site, or the Autism Society of WA and other useful organizations throughout the Puget Sound region. I have lived in Kent, WA for nearly a decade and have watched it grow and change. I have communicated with parents as far away as Belgium and as close as Kent, Renton, Auburn or Seattle, WA . I have come to count on my on line community of friends for advice on issues as varied as dietary concerns and options, behavioral challenges and maximizing the school environment.
Whether you are a first time home buyer or a seasoned investor, I will do everything in my power to make your property buying experience financially rewarding, enjoyable and stress free.
Put my experience and dedication to work for you.
